The park held a poll on its Facebook page where fans voted on their favorite of the following names:

  • Bahati, meaning "luck" or "success"
  • Jasiri, which means "brave" or "bold"
  • Safiri, which means "traveler"
  • Saba, which refers to her being the 7th white rhino born at Busch Gardens

So, which name won? In an exclusive interview with 10 News Morning Show's Joe Gumm, the park revealed the winning name was Jasiri.

The baby rhino was born on the Serengeti Plain on Oct. 23 and weighed 140 pounds at birth. She was the second calf born to mother, Kisiri, and the seventh calf born to father, Tambo.

Park officials say she's playful, curious and thinks she runs the place chasing off the likes of zebras and older relatives.
