Paradise Beach, FL (Florida Today) -- Police are sorting through details of an incident involving two men in a black sport utility vehicle who apparently threw a man from the vehicle before dawn at a beachside Melbourne park.

Police were called about 6:45 a.m. to Howard E. Futch Memorial Park at Paradise Beach, 113 Paradise Blvd., after receiving reports that a man was injured after being thrown from a vehicle.

Melbourne police officers arrived at the park and attempted to talk with the man whom police described as incoherent. Brevard County Fire-Rescue crews were also called to treat him for his injuries.

"We're still investigating it," said Lt. Dan Lynch of Melbourne Police Department.
