Chicago -- An up-and-coming hip hop artist is in hot water after a video surfaced that shows him physically assaulting a young woman.
Def Jam rapper Lil Reese confirmed Thursday that it is indeed him shown in the grainy cell phone video.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports the video begins with the victim demanding to know who let Lil Reese and a group of men into her home. The argument between her and Lil Reese quickly gets heated, and the rapper then begins to viciously punch her.
As the woman drops to the floor shrieking, Lil Reese is seen continuing to punch and kick her for several more seconds.
The rapper was unapologetic on his Twitter account Thursday morning, tweeting, "The haters tryna see a mf Dwn lol Dey gotta b broke and bored wanna upload sum sh-- from years ago damnn we winnin it's 2 late...#3hunna"
In another tweet he wrote, "Dis wat doin betta den da next mf bring small s--- it's nothin time 2 turn Uppp f--- it...#3hunna."
The tweets have since been deleted.
The Sun-Times says police are not currently investigating, because they don't know who the victim is, or when and where the attack occurred. There are some reports indicating the victim is Lil Reese's baby's mother.
Lil Reese was reportedly arrested last year for aggravated battery with discharge of a firearm.
