Tampa, Florida -- A Hillsborough County Schools bus driver is hot water after police say she physically kicked a special education child off her bus.
Tampa Police say the incident occurred on the morning of Sept. 28 while Tampa Bay Elementary School students were being dropped off at school.
The 8-year-old girl was reportedly trying to get off the bus when the driver, 40-year-old Stephanie Wilkerson, told her to wait her turn. Apparently that upset the girl who turned around and slapped and pushed her.
When Wilkerson told the girl it was her turn to go, she walked halfway down the steps and stopped. That's when Wilkerson kicked the girl off the bus, causing her to break her fibula.
After an investigation into the incident, Wilkerson was arrested Thursday for Aggravated Child Abuse.
