It was Senior Night on Friday at Northeast High School as the Vikings did battle with the Pinellas Park Patriots. Early on, it was all Pinellas Park, as the Patriots jumped out to a 14-0 nothing lead in the first behind touchdowns from Garrett Nevitt, and Pierre Johnson, who rumbled in from 9 yards out.
In the second quarter the game became a defensive battle as neither team scored.
Coming out of the half, the Patriots just kept piling it on as Pierre Johnson broke free for a 65-yard scamper to the endzone to make it 21-0. At this point Northeast kicked it up a notch on offense, and finally scored on a 1 yard run from Donterio Folwer. But they didn't stop there, as they added yet another score from QB Ryan Davis to make it 21-14. However, that's as close as the Viking would get to the Patriots.
In the fourth quarter Pinellas Park scored on a 46-yard fumble recovery by Will Palito. And then before time expired, they scored once more on a 33-yard run from Kel-el Williams, to make it 35-14, spoiling senior night for the Vikings.
