Wesley Chapel, Florida -- The Pasco County Sheriff's Office could use your help catching a man who shadowed a UPS driver and then stole several packages left outside a Wesley Chapel home.

The incident happened inside the gated subdivision of Watermark which is located in Seven Oaks.

"Basically, the guy followed the UPS and FedEx trucks around, saw when the delivery was made... and decided he was going to ring the bell (and) nobody was home, so he took them," the victim, who asked not to be identified, told 10 News.

However, the victim's home surveillance system did capture video of the man and officials are hoping it will help them track down the criminal.

The victim says the packages stolen had a value of more than $1,000 and included tees for a charity golf outing.

The homeowner adds he doesn't believe this was the first time the criminal has pulled off this type of heist.

"Not at all, I think he's done it many times from his actions and how he did it. He was pretty cavilier about it. I'm sure he's done it before and probably has other people that he does it with."

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

"These types of crimes are crimes of opportunity. They see a UPS driver, a postal service driver or a delivery driver, follow them ... and if the coast is clear they will try and steal the packages if no one is looking," said Pasco County Sheriff's Office Spokesperson Kevin Doll.
