Sarasota, Florida -- The man wanted in connection with the robbery of a Sarasota SunTrust is in police custody Wednesday.

Tellers told deputies the man entered the bank in the 5900 block of Katie Lane around 11 o'clock this morning, wrote a note saying "Got a Gun, you have 20 seconds" and handed it to the teller. He then pointed an object hidden inside a small zippered plastic bag at the teller. He put the money in plastic bag and fled on foot in the direction of Doctor's Hospital of Sarasota.

During a ground, air and K-9 search, deputies found the hat and shirt he was seen wearing in surveillance photos during the robbery.

The man, later identified as 39-year-old Chris Austin -- who matched the description of the suspect -- was also found near the hospital and taken into custody. Police say a comparison was made between him and the surveillance photos and confirmed he was the robber.

Austin did not say anything to authorities during his arrest. He has been charged with Armed Robbery of a Bank.
