Tampa, FL  - Today volunteers with Tampa Bay Watch will work to rebuild oyster beds at the Shultz Nature Preserve.

The goal is to create new habitats for fish and crabs. As well as reducing erosion of the beach. Volunteers will shovel about 20-tons of fossilized oyster shells into mesh bags and place them around the shoreline.

The restoration project begins at 9:00 this morning.
