Suspectfires gun, demands money from gas clerk

Tampa, FL-- Hillsborough Sheriff's Deputies currently seek the suspect responsible for robbing a Sunoco Gas Station off of N 22nd St. on Monday, October 8. 

According to deputies, the armed suspect entered the gas station, pointed a firearm at one of the clerks, and stated "give it up" as he fired one round into the floor. The clerk opened the register and the suspect removed an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect then fled the store on foot and was reportedly last seen running westbound behind several businesses on Bearss avenue.  The clerks were not injured.

Officials provided the following description of the suspect: 

  • Black male
  • Brown eyes
  • 18 - 21 years of age
  • Approximately 5'7"
  • 150 lbs
  • Thin build
  • Wearing a black New Era Blue Jays hat, a long sleeved plain black shirt, light colored cargo style shorts, black/gray shoes and gloves, with a white handkerchief covering face.
