Elderly victim robbed at gunpoint after leaving Hard Rock Casino

Tampa, FL- Hillsborough deputies currently search for four men involved in robbing an elderly man after he got lost on his way home from the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa.  

At around 1:30 a.m on Tuesday, September 8, the elderly victim left the Hard Rock to head back to St. Petersburg. 

It was when he got turned around and found himself on an unfamiliar roadway, that he reportedly encountered a red, sedan vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. 

One of the occupants exited the car, approached the victim and pointed a gun at him. The suspect then demanded and obtained his wallet and cell phone, reports say.

After the suspects stole the wallet,  they attempted to use the victim's credit cards at several locations throughout Hillsborough County.  

A Wal Mart off of N Dale Mabry Hwy. has surveillance footage that shows two men trying to use the card. 

Two additional suspects are seen in surveillance video from Grow Financial Federal Credit Union located off of Busch Boulevard E attempting to use the victim's credit card.

Officials have provided the following descriptions of the suspects:

  • Suspect 1:  Black Male, 5'10" - 6', 180-200 lbs. Medium Build. Last seen wearing a black, sleeveless shirt, blue jeans and blue boxers and white athletic shoes.
  • Suspect 2:  Black Male, 5'09" - 5'11", 170-190 lbs. Medium Build. Last seen wearing a long black t-shirt, brown cargo shorts, tan work boots, and black flat bill cap with design on it.
  • Suspect Vehicle Driven by suspects 1 and 2:  Late 1999's to early 2000's, two-door, red in color with tinted windows, spoiler in rear and sunroof.  Right front tire appears to be different that the right rear tire without rims.
  • Suspect 3:  Black Male, Thin Build.  Last seen wearing a white tank top.
  • Suspect 4:  Black Male

Officials ask anyone with information reference the suspect to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200.
