Perry, Florida (WCTV) -- A man is in serious condition after hitting a hog with his motorcycle Sunday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports 60-year-old Larry Strickland was driving east on US 98 in Taylor County when a hog came from the south shoulder and into Strickland's lane.
According to FHP, the front of Strickland's motorcycle collided with the hog. The motorcycle came to final rest on the north shoulder on its right side.
Strickland was transported to Shands Hospital. FHP says alcohol was not in his system. Strickland was not wearing a helmet.
FHP was assisted by Taylor County Sheriff's Office and Taylor E.M.S.
