Osprey, Florida -- Troopers were forced to close the center and right northbound lanes on I-75, north of SR 681, for most of Tuesday after dump truck overturned and spilled its load.

Authorities say around 6 a.m., the truck suffered a blowout to its right front tire and the driver, Bradford Lambert, was unable to get control and the truck overturned onto its right side spilling gravel onto the right northbound lane.

The truck and the gravel were cleaned from the roadway around 3:30 p.m. but the center and right northbound lanes remained closed until about 11 p.m. after severe weather hampered efforts to repair damage done to the highway.

Lambert was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
