E. Rutherford, NJ-- Tampa Bay brought a 27-16 lead in to the fourth quarter but the New York's defense kept the Giants in it. Lawrence Tynes hit a 24-yard field goal pulling the game to within a score.
On the Giants next possession facing third down, Eli Manning hit Victor Cruz on a busted coverage route for an 80-yard touchdown connection pulling the Giants within two. Then Andre Brown bowled up the middle for the two-point conversion knotting up the contest at 27-27.

After forcing the Buccaneers in to a three and out, the Giants went back to work on the Tampa Bay's defense, Manning orchestrated the go-ahead drive. Picking on cornerback Brandon McDonald on back-to-back plays, first hitting Hakeem Nicks, then Manning found Martellus Bennett for a 33 -yard touchdown pass, putting the Giants on top 34-27.
With just over 4 minutes to go in regulation, Tampa Bay took over the ball, and Josh Freeman drove them right back down the field going 4 for 4 passing. Freeman ended the drive by hitting Mike Williams on a deep ball, for a 41-yard touchdown strike tying the game at 34-34.
Eli Manning countered driving the Giants right back down the field, hitting Nicks on a 50-yard pass and with thirty-one seconds on the clock Andre Brown gave the Giants the lead for good 41-34.
Freeman and the Bucs had an opportunity to tie the game but an interception to Michael Boley thwarted Tampa Bay's comeback. The Giants finished the game with a 25 point final quarter en route to a 41-34 win. The Bucs fall to 1-1 on the season.
Arrelious Benn returned the second half kickoff 55 yards, to the Giants' 47 yard line. The Bucs turned it into points, on Connor Barth' 52 yard field goal, for a 27-13 lead.
The Giants put together a 64 yard drive at the end of the 3rd quarter. They advanced into the red zone, but the Bucs' defense held off the Giants' charge, and held them to a Lawrence Tynes 36 yard field goal, that made it 27-16 Bucs.
Cornerback Eric Wright left the game in the 3rd, with an injury.
Vincent Jackson has 4 catches for 109 yards.
Through 3 quarters, Eli Manning is 23-28 passing, for 267 yards, but 3 interceptions that have been the difference in the game.
Despite the Giants moving the football in the first half, the Bucs hold the lead thanks to 3 interceptions of Eli Manning, and 21 points off those turnovers.
On the second play of the 2nd quarter, Mason Foster picked off Manning. The Bucs converted on a Josh Freeman 29 yard TD pass to Vincent Jackson. Jackson had 3 receptions for 87 yards in the half.
Two possession after that, Brandon McDonald picked off Manning, and set up the Bucs at the Giants' 13 yard line. Two plays later, Doug Martin spun at the line of scrimmage and ran 8 yards into the end zone for the touchdown that made it 17-6 Bucs.
The next time the Giants had the ball, Eli Manning hit Hakeem Nicks for a 23 yard TD pass that made it 17-13 Bucs.
But the Bucs got Manning again on the next Giants' possession. Eric Wright intercepting Manning and returned the ball 60 yards for a touchdown, that gave the Bucs a 24-13 lead at the half.
The Giants are moving the chains. They have 277 total yards in the first half, but the 3 Buc interceptions have killed them. Victor Cruz made 9 catches in the half, for 94 yards.
The 1st quarter was a battle of field goals. Lawrence Tynes kicked 37 and 24 yard field goals. On the second offensive series, the Giants had a 1st and goal inside the Bucs 10 yard line, but the Bucs defense held, and the Giants had to settle for a field goal.
The Bucs first possession was a 60 yard drive that resulted in a Connor Barth 45 yard field goal. The highlight of that drive was a 41-yard hookup from Josh Freeman to Vincent Jackson.
In the 1st quarter, Freeman was 5-8 passing for 78 yards.
