OLDSMAR, Florida -- The speech Paul Ryan brought to R.E. Olds Park emphasized the importance of voters around the I-4 corridor and President Obama's perceived flaws.

"If borrowing and spending and regulating and taxing and consolidating power in Washington worked, we would be entering a golden age along with Greece," Ryan told the crowd as they cheered in agreement.

He was introduced on-stage by Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, who called him "a man of great integrity and intelligence."

His stance on economic issues is something that supporters like 21-year-old Sean Fahy wanted to hear about. He's preparing to vote in his first presidential election.

"I think [Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan] would work harder for the students. I'm going to grad school within the next year, and I think my prospects, going into health administration, don't look bright with Obamacare," Fahy said. "I don't think that would benefit me in any way, my children, my family, other families."

Congresswoman Kathy Castor stopped by the rally. She served on the House Budget Committee with Ryan, and has concerns.

"Their plan for jobs and economic growth is to rely on the trickle down method that gives tax cuts to the top one percent. That's already proven not to work," she said.
