Weather forecast: Warm and Breezy For Friday; Isolated Storms

Lunchtime showers have been moving through Polk county and will move west into Hillsborough and Pasco counties. Strong easterly flow will continue across the Sunshine State on Friday as high pressure holds tight across the mid-Atlantic coast. This weather pattern will remain in place until late Sunday, when an area of low pressure develops in the Gulf.  Winds relax a bit into Sunday. This low will move northeastward, increasing tropical moisture across the region on Monday and Tuesday. In the meantime, expect highs near 90 with a 40% chance of showers and storms each day.

Friday: Partly cloudy skies, winds E 10-15 mph with a 40% chance for a shower this afternoon.  Highs near 90.

Saturday: Partly cloudy skies, winds E 10 mph with a 30% chance for a showers in the afternoon.  Highs near 90.

Sunday: Low pressure will be forming in the western Gulf and it could increase rain chances late in the day.  Most models hold off on bringing the rain in until Monday and Tuesday. 

Monday:  A front will stall over central Florida through mid-week. Rain should increase to 50% before drier moves in by Friday.
