Orlando, Florida -- Stumping for Barack Obama in the Sunshine State on Wednesday, former President Bill Clinton again said no president could have fixed the economy in one term.

"It is my opinion that no president, not Barack Obama, not Bill Clinton, not anybody who served before us... nobody who had this job could have repaired that much damage to this economy in just four years," Clinton told a crowd of about 2,000 people at the Rosen Plaza Hotel.

It was the second consecutive day Clinton has campaigned in Florida on behalf of Obama.

"I honestly believe it doesn't matter who caused it or whether the contributing factors all happened under President Bush or something I did or something Ronald Reagan did 30 years ago. Regardless, President Obama didn't cause it," he told the crowd as Clinton struck many of the same themes he mentioned one week earlier at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Clinton's campaigning is in stark contrast to four years ago, when he was at odds with Obama as his wife ran against him in the Democratic presidential primary.

But now, following a speech at the DNC that many describe as electrifying, Clinton could become one of Obama's biggest assets.

"As an independent voter, I think it can only help Barack Obama's case. You know, he's a great speaker," Christine Booth of Orlando said before Clinton's speech.

Angela Coulter of Kissimmee added Clinton has a way of simplifying things that makes issues easy to understand.

"He could break it down (so) even a 5-year-old can understand," Coulter said.

Over the weekend at a stop in the Tampa area, Obama called Clinton his "Secretary of Explaining Stuff" for his ability to break down issues for voters.
