WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A task force reviewing Florida's so-called "stand your ground" law is meeting in West Palm Beach.

The Wednesday meeting is one of several being held around the state by Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll, who was appointed to oversee the review.

Gov. Rick Scott appointed the task force to review the law after the high-profile February shooting of Trayvon Martin, the unarmed teen who was killed by a neighborhood watch captain, George Zimmerman.

Zimmerman contends the shooting was legal because Martin threatened his life.
