Palm Harbor, Florida -- A Plato's Closet employee and customer sure should get extra kudos from the owner after they stopped a burglary and held the man until police arrived.
Pinellas County deputies say George Nunnally entered the store on US 19 N in Palm Harbor, headed towards the back office and shut the door. Store employee Kayli Gibbons knew something wasn't right and, when she went back to check, saw Nunnally sitting at a desk trying to break into the store safe.
Thinking quickly, Gibbons tried to block the door to keep him from leaving, but the two struggled and he got passed her.
Dominick Deangelin, a customer at the store, saw what happened and ran after Nunnally, tackled him outside the store and brought him back inside where he held him until deputies arrived.
Nunnally, a transient from California, was arrested and charged with Burglary and Battery. Gibbons, 31, was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Deangelin was not injured.
