FHP searching for Juan Aguiar, after allegedly crashing into 6 people

Lehigh Acres, Florida (News-Press) -- The Florida Highway Patrol is searching a for a man who fled on foot after allegedly striking six pedestrians early Monday.

Troopers say Juan Aguiar was traveling north on Roma Avenue South around 3:30 a.m. when, for unknown reasons, he struck a group of people walking to their cars which were parked on the same road.

Aguiar then stopped, left the vehicle and fled on foot.

Three of the pedestrians, an Immokalee 20-year-old and two 16-year-olds from Lehigh Acres, were taken to area hospitals with serious injuries.

The three other pedestrians, all from Immokalee, were treated for minor injuries.

The vehicle was towed from the scene. According to the report, alcohol was a factor in the accident.
