St. Petersburg, Florida -- Mitt Romney is on the campaign trail after formally accepting his party's nomination Thursday night. So just how factual were his words to America?

Allison Kropff teams up with PolitiFact Florida to check out his speech.

In Mitt Romney's acceptance speech Thursday night, he talked about America's gloomy outlook.

"The majority of Americans now doubt that our children will have a better future."

Aaron Sharockman with PolitiFact Florida says fact-checkers rated this statement HALF TRUE because polls consistently show parents think their children are going to live a worse life than they have.

Fact-checkers also looked at the statement that Obama began his presidency "with an apology tour". PolitiFact Florida rated that statement, PANTS ON FIRE.
