Tampa, FL -- The month of August means getting ready for football season for millions of players, both real and Fantasy Football players.
The Fantasy Sports Trade Association reports 34 million people play fantasy sports. That's more than one in every 10 Americans, and the majority of them are playing Fantasy Football. It's estimated that Fantasy Football has grown into a $1 billion a year business.
There are more and more Fantasy Football geeks, like Efrem and Michelle Sanchez of St. Petersburg. They used to own a team together, but Michelle felt she could run a better team herself, so she split from her husband -- just in Fantasy Football, not in their marriage. And they compete against each other twice during the NFL season.
"I play by statistics, rather than my emotions," Michelle told 10 News. "Definitely, I'm the better player."
