Clearwater, Florida -- Clearwater Police are looking for a man wanted in at least two home invasions involving offers for a fake car detailing service.

In the most recent incident, police say the man, later identified as Tommy Mitchell, approached an elderly woman outside her home in the 100 block of Orangeview Avenue saying his name was "Joe Moon" and asked her if she wanted her car detailed for $50.

She agreed and once he was done, he broke into the house through the locked front screen door and asked her for several glasses of water because he had just taken heart medication. Each time she went into the kitchen, police say he started looking around the house. When she paid him the $50, he told her it was $150.

Just to get him out of the house, she went to get more money from her bedroom when he followed her, took her money and pushed her down.

Detectives say they believe Mitchell, 42, is connected to another case involving similar circumstances and would like anyone who believes they are also a victim of his, or know his whereabouts, to call the Clearwater Police Department.
