Clearwater, Florida -- Clearwater Police are searching for a serial bank robber with an affinity for PNC banks.
Police say the man hit his third PNC Bank in less than a month Tuesday afternoon. This time it was the bank on Countryside Boulevard.
Officers say he walked into the bank around 4:15 p.m. and demanded money from employees and customers at gunpoint. After receiving the undisclosed amount of cash, he fled on foot through the nearby Inverness Condominiums. A K-9 unit searched for the robber but the trail went cold.
Detectives say they believe this is the man wanted in two other PNC Bank robberies. The first on May 26 at the Gulf to Bay location and the second on June 8 at the Largo location in the 2600 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.
