Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib's trial for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon has been officially dismissed.

Talib was scheduled for trial next week, making his future with the Bucs unclear. But according to his attorney Frank Perez, the case was thrown out because the prosecution didn't think their chief witness was credible.

Talib was accused of pistol whipping and firing shots at Shannon Billings, but Billings is currently in jail as a repeat sex offender.

So it looks like Talib will get a fresh start under new head coach Greg Schiano.
