Clearwater, FL-- Calvary Christian High School has hired Keb Burley as boys head basketball coach.

Burley played for Countryside High School when the Cougars were Regional champs in 1989. He's coached mainly in Clearwater youth leagues, but also as assistant coach at East Lake High School and Countryside High School.

Matt Geiger, Burley's teammate at Countryside, said, "There is nobody Calvary could find who would be a better fit or who I would give a higher recommendation than Keb Burley."

Bill Koss, Florida Gators' TV basketball analyst, added, "If my grandchildren were in a place where Keb was the coach, I would do everything in my power to find a way for him to coach them."

Burley replaces Mark Carter, who left Calvary to accept the head coach's job at Palm Harbor University High School.
