Tampa, Fla. -- Bucs' first-year head coach Greg Schiano has a clear message for his team.

"You want them to understand the tempo with which we practice," Schiano said. "and the attention to detail that's required to play this game effectively."

That attention to detail hopefully leads to improved discipline, which was lacking in the final two months of the Raheem Morris era.

"(Schiano is) re-establishing order and he's doing it immediately," defensive tackle Gerald McCoy said. "Nobody is exempt."

"You don't want to leave any wiggle room for any interpretation," cornerback Ronde Barber said of Schiano's message. "So he's doing all that for us and the energy level has been good because of it so that's good."

Now that the Bucs know the plan, it's about continuity with each other.

"We're hitting it hard in the classroom and out here on the field," wide receiver Vincent Jackson said.

"Give it all you got in the off-season, give it all you got in preparation," quarterback Josh Freeman said. "Let it ride."

"Change is hard," Schiano said. "It's not good or bad, it's just hard because you're used to one thing. They'll get used to this and this will be the norm."
