LARGO, Fla. -- Michael Graziano, 24, has died nearly two weeks after a crash in Largo left him badly injured.
On the morning of April 3, Graziano was riding in a Volvo with Cameron Bosley when it hit the back of a dump truck at Ulmerton Road and 66th Street.
Graziano passed away from his injuries on Friday afternoon at Bayfront Medical Center, according to Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Steve Gaskins.
The Graziano family has had to endure tragedy several times over the last few years. In 2007, Michael's brother, John, suffered severe brain damage in a car crash with Nick Bollea, the son of wrestler Hulk Hogan. John Graziano served in Iraq, and received treatment at the James A. Haley VA Medical Center for two years. Since then, his mother, Debra, has cared for him full-time.
Then, in 2009, Debra's husband, Ed Graziano, was charged with trying to hire a hit man to kill her. He was sentenced to 10 years behind bars.
At this point, no charges have been filed in the crash that took the life of Michael Graziano, but FHP says the investigation is still active pending toxicology results.
The driver in the crash, Cameron Bosley, has a criminal record in Pinellas County that includes charges of reckless driving, fleeing or eluding at a high speed, and sale or delivery of a controlled substance. According to a charge report, his tattoo reads, "Life is a gift."
