ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- A woman is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after deputies say she was accidentally shot at a church.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, a member of the Grace Connection Church in unincorporated St. Petersburg, Moises Zambrana, was showing his gun to two others in a closet area when it accidentally went off. One of the men with Zambrana, 20-year-old Dustin Bueller, is about to turn 21 and was interested in buying a gun.

The bullet went through the wall and struck 20-year-old Hannah Kelley, Bueller's girlfriend, in the head.

Deputies say while Zambrana removed the gun's magazine before showing it off, one bullet remained in the gun and that is the one that hit Kelley. They are calling this case a tragic accident.

Zambrana has all of his permits. The Sheriff's Office says no charges are being filed at this time.
