UPDATE: DOUGHERTY GANG CAUGHT IN COLORADO

Denver, Colorado -- People all over the country say they've spotted the siblings accused of shooting at a police officer in Zephyrhills and then robbing a bank in Georgia.

The latest sighting from law enforcement puts the trio two time zones away, in Colorado.

The FBI in Denver says it's more than just a questionable report -- they're confident this was a valid sighting of the Pasco County siblings who call themselves the "Dougherty Gang."

"We have credible information on individuals that were sighted in the Colorado Springs area near near I-25 and Woodman Road," said FBI spokesman Dave Joly.

"We don't know why they came to our state and we don't know where they might be headed or what direction they're headed," he added.

"We feel they might be headed to a campground or some rural area to avoid detection."

For the week since the alleged crime spree began, the public has been pronouncing Ryan, Dylan, and Lee-Grace Dougherty's last name as "DOE-erty."

We've now learned the family says it "DOCK-erty." That information comes from their mother, Barbara Bell, who lives an hour south of Jacksonville.

By phone, Bell told 10 News reporter Melanie Michael, "I've already put out the plea to my children. I'm hoping they will listen and turn themselves in."

We've also now heard from the boyfriend of Lee Grace Dougherty. Brendon Bookman says he thinks the only way the family of fugitives will come back to Florida is in three coffins.

"I would prefer to see her living than not living, but it's very difficult for me to imagine the three of them wanting to live the rest of their life in a cage," Bookman said.

He says he's Lee Grace's fiancee, and they lived together on Merritt Island in Central Florida.

According to Bookman, they met about four years ago and he was her college math teacher. She worked as a dancer at Cheaters strip club in Cocoa Beach. They started dating and had talked about their future.

"I can't see them wanting to do the rest of their life in prison," Bookman said.

As the manhunt looks west toward the Rockies, Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco has pointed out eventually, these three will run out of money.

And then we may see a repeat of the bank robbery and violence this trio's accused of in Georgia.
