Clearwater, Florida - Our Pet of the Week is James. James is a 4 year old Shepherd Mix that came to HSP through our shelter transfer program. He was surrendered to a shelter in January because his previous family lost their home. In May, with a bit of available space, we were able to bring in a few pets from area shelters and that is the day we fell in love with James.

He is a very sweet, loving and loyal dog that would love to have a family to call his own. It is reported that he came from a home that did have children that he liked to play with; he is already house trained, knows his basic commands and loves to ride in the car. Come meet James and see if he is the perfect fit for your family.

Pet of the Week: Sunny

Sunny is a pretty 7 year old domestic short haired cat. Her fur is in a warm brown color that matches her bright name. She is easy going and relaxed but every once in a while the kitten will come out of her. She likes to investigate and play with things that grab her attention.

Sunny's previous owners turned her in because they could no longer take care of her. She gets along very well with the other cats that she shares her enclosure with here at the shelter. We do not know how she is with children or dogs but we feel that she will adapt readily to her new forever home and be a great addition to the right family.
