Gov. Rick Scott gets a chilly reception while throwing out the first pitch at a Yankees/Blue Jays spring training game.
Seems Rick Scott can't catch a break with Bay area baseball fans.
After his last reception while throwing the first pitch between the New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays, a group on Facebook want to see a repeat for his upcoming first pitch at the Rays home opener.
See what this event is all about:
Gov. Rick Scott received a chilly reception while throwing the first pitch at a spring training game last week between the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays.
Next Friday, Gov. Scott will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch as the Tampa Bay Rays take on the Baltimore Orioles.
For so many reasons, Gov. Scott deserves a good ol' fashioned 'Bronx Cheer' next Friday. Even if you are not going to the game, you can take a moment to turn on the TV, tune to the Rays game and boo the Governor.
With a boo, you're not saying you're going to vote against, so calm down, my Republican colleagues. And we're not booing him for any serious reasons, like his rejection of federal funding for high speed rail.
We're booing him because the guy deserves it -- for unveiling his budget in Eustis, Fla., for wanting to drug test state employees, for posting state employee pension information online, for not consulting with the Legislature...for all of the petty, small-minded moves Gov. Scott has made during his first months in office.
So if you are interested in booing the Governor in person or taking thirty seconds to boo Rick Scott from afar, RSVP to this event and/or feel free to share while you will be booing him.
