Tampa, Florida -- Cancer is the number one cause of non-accidental death in children, and 46 kids are diagnosed with the disease each day. Steve Yerrid is a local attorney who has raised over a million dollars to help fight pediatric cancer.
"Giving, now that's the real essence of life for me. There's no greater feeling than helping someone," Yerrid said.
The 60-year-old attorney has been giving back for decades. Recently he served pro-bono as special counsel on the BP oil spill, representing citizens of the state.
"To give people the opportunities such as I have, I've never really done anything by myself on my own. It's always been with the help of people and others," the attorney said.
