St. Petersburg, Florida - You may remember the Obama campaign being criticized for taking "God" out of its platform during the Democratic National Convention.

Well, that topic was brought up again, this time after Mitt Romney talked about God and coins on the campaign trail.

Allison Kropff and PolitiFact Florida check the claim that "In God We Trust" will be taken off coins.

Recently on the campaign trail in Virginia, Mitt Romney said, "I will not take 'God' out of the name of our platform. I will not take 'God' off our coins and I will not take God out of my heart."

Katie Sanders with PolitiFact Florida checked the claim by a chain email that the phrase would be taken off coins. That rates: FALSE.

So we're on the same page here - PolitiFact did not check whether Romney blames Obama for the status of "in God we trust" on coins, but rather, the chain email which says the phrase will be taken off coins, which is false.
