St. Petersburg, Florida - When watching these debates, it can be difficult to know what to believe. It can even be difficult when watching the State of the Union.

From GOP candidates to President Barack Obama, along with PolitiFact Florida's Aaron Sharockman, we got to the truth behind the politicians statements.

Mitt Romney: "When I was fighting against cap and trade, the speaker was sitting down with Nancy Pelosi on a sofa encouraging it."

Newt Gingrich: "When I was speaker, we had four consecutive balanced budgets."

President Obama: "Right now, American oil production is the highest that it's been in eight years."

President Obama: "We got rid of one rule from 40 years ago that could have forced some dairy farmers to spend $10,000 a year proving that they could contain a spill - because milk was somehow classified as an oil."
