Pinellas County -- 6-Year old Riley is our pet of the week.

We're told he is a playful, fun loving, energetic fellow.

Riley is very active and will play fetch until you can't throw the ball anymore. He is already house trained and knows multiple verbal commands. He walks well on a leash, loves to be around people and is good with children over five years of age.

Riley has spent time with other dogs and enjoys supervised play times.

He will protect you and his home while alerting you to visitors.

Young children do make Riley a bit nervous, so older playmates in his new family will be best.

John -- This medium sized 6-year old is a domestic short haired cat.

His fur is black and white. He is really friendly, nice and affectionate.

John was turned in to the shelter because his owners could no longer care for him.

It's unknown if he gets along with children or dogs. He does get along fine with the cats he shares his space with at the shelter.
