Clearwater, Florida - Our Pet of the Week is Elvin. Elvin is a cute little Terrier Mix that eager to be discovered by his new parents. He is an 8 year old that found his way to HSP through our shelter transfer program. His previous owner did report that he is an active fellow that loves his toys, especially if they squeak! Elvin is also a very smart little man that knows several commands, is crate trained, walks great on a leash and enjoys a good game of fetch.

For Elvin, his perfect new home would let him be the only pet. He loves to be the center of your attention and doesn't want to share his owners. He will snuggle right up next to you to enjoy a good movie and will beat you to the door when it's time for a walk. He has the classic terriers deserve to be the best friend he can be.

Pet of the Week: Duke

Duke is a 2 year old medium sized domestic short haired cat. He is a very handsome boy with a very cute large head. His fur is jet black and he has mesmerizing yellow eyes that look at you for affection. He loves to great you and to rub his head against you to say hello. He is active and self confident.

Duke came to the shelter as an injured stray. Not too much is known of his past before he came to the Humane Society of Pinellas. He deserves a safe, loving home where he won't have to go it alone any longer. He needs to be introduced into his new forever home slowly as he may need to adjust to indoor-kitty manners. He is a perfect gentleman at the shelter and gets along very well with the other cats in his condo. If you have any children or dogs at home please bring them with you to meet Duke and give him the second chance that he deserves.
