Pet of the Week: Bruce
Dusty the Cat
Clearwater, Florida - Our Pet of the Week is Bruce. According to the folks at the Humane Society of Pinellas 5 year old Bruce is a soccer playing extraordinaire! They say if you get set up with the ball in the backyard and Bruce will read your pass, intercept and then return it so you can do it again! He is a very special dog that is in need of a special home. Bruce is a Blue Heeler/German Shepherd mix that has diabetes. You wouldn't know by looking at him that he does require some special care. He is an active boy that loves to run and play and is looking for an active family with the same agenda. Bruce is an extremely smart dog that has been through training and knows several commands; he is house trained and even crate trained. His former family spent a lot of time working with him making him a social dog that is well adjusted and comfortable being handled.
He has spent time with other dogs, the right housemate should be a calm relaxed, and submissive dog. Bruce has also been exposed to children and prefers that they be over 5 years of age-they play better soccer! If you have a safe, secure and loving home in need of canine companionship, come meet Bruce!

Pet of the Week: Dusty
Dusty is a medium sized 2 year old domestic short haired Siamese mixed cat. He is a fawn colored lynx point with more prominent striping than you would see on a full blooded Siamese. His coat is a unique but very handsome one. He is slightly cross-eyed, giving him an innocent and somewhat humorous look. He will definitely make you smile when he looks straight at you. He is a very friendly boy. He is very trusting and will come right to you for affection.
Dusty was turned into the shelter because his previous owners became allergic to him. He gets along very well with the other kitties that he shares his condo with so he can go home with other cats. We do not know if he gets along with dogs or children so if you have either please bring them with you to meet Dusty and give him the forever home that he deserves.
