Clearwater, Florida - Pinellas deputies are investigating a crash involving three vehicles in Clearwater. The crash occurred just north of S.R. 590 on McMullen Booth Road at about 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.
According to investigators the driver of the Honda, 39-year-old Sameh Soliman, was heading northbound on McMullen Booth Road on the center lane. The driver of the box van, 60 year-old Gary Popovich, was also heading northbound on McMullen Booth Road on the left lane.
When the driver of the Honda attempted to merge in to the left lane, he struck the van's front passenger side bumper, turned sharply to the left and continued across the median and into the southbound lanes. While in the southbound lanes the Honda was struck by a Dodge Ram driven by 46-year-old Robert Scott, Jr.
Soliman, the driver of the Honda was air-lifted to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The investigation continues.
