Nashville, Tenn. (The Tennessean) -- A Nashville Zoo employee was fired after she was involved in a
drunken incident while driving the park's trackless train Thursday, zoo
In a statement, the zoo confirmed an unnamed guest
services staff member was operating a train while under the influence
of alcohol. Officials from the zoo quickly relieved her and got the
situation under control, the statement said.
The woman was terminated from her position soon afterward. No one was hurt during the incident.
Zoo strives to be a safe venue for families, and we deeply regret the
incident occurred and will take all necessary steps to ensure this is an
isolated incident," the statement said.
