Spring Hill, Florida -- The victim in a third incident involving someone impersonating an officer was arrested Thursday after police discovered she made the whole thing up.
The woman, identified as Lindsay Walke, told police she was stopped at Waterfall Drive and Bern Lane by someone who made her perform field sobriety exercises, searched her vehicle and let her go with a "warning".

After several days of investigating the incident and checking surveillance videos from surrounding businesses and numerous interviews, police discovered the incident never took place.
When detectives interviewed Walke again on Feb. 14, she admitted she made up the whole thing when asked by her husband where she was.
Walke was issued a Misdemeanor Citation and charged with Filing a False Report to Law Enforcement. The Hernando County Sheriff's Office says it will be seeking restitution to offset agency expenses for the over 30 hours of time spent investigating the alleged incident.
