(USA TODAY) -- President Obama got back at Donald Trump by mocking him -- and himself -- over citizenship claims.
"This all dates back to when we were growing up together in Kenya," Obama joked to The Tonight Show's Jay Leno on Wednesday.
"We had constant run-ins on the soccer field." Obama added to laughter. "He wasn't very good and resented it. ... When we finally moved to America I thought it would be over."
On a more serious note, Obama said he has never, in fact, met Trump.
Obama's riposte came as Trump offered to give $5 million to a charity of the president's choice, if he releases all his college and passport applications and records.
Trump continues to question whether Obama was born in the USA, despite a release in 2010 showing that Obama was born in Honolulu in 1961.
"If he releases these records, it will end the question and indeed the anger of many Americans," Trump says in the video.
