PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh police say that when a would-be carjacker realized his target was a plainclothes officer, he claimed the attempted theft was actually part of the script for a new Batman movie being filmed nearby.

Detective Robert DiGiacomo was in an unmarked vehicle Saturday evening, looking for an assault suspect in the Shadyside area of Pittsburgh, when a man opened the car door, sat down and told the officer to get out, police say.

The officer drew his gun and ordered 21-year-old Micah Calamosca out of the car. DiGiacomo says the suspect then told him the attempt was part of filming for "The Dark Knight Rises" and that taking the vehicle was in the script.

Even better, WPXI says Calamosca matched the description of the assault suspect the officer was looking for.

"When he got into the car, he told the fella to get out and it turns out it was the undercover police car that was called to check him out," said witness Paul Connelly. "Out of all the cars to try and carjack, this should be the last one to choose."

Calamosco was taken into custody and faces a charge of robbery of a motor vehicle.

And now, he's got the real makings of a script.
