Spotify predicts Grammys for Macklemore, Imagine Dragons

(USA Today)-- Can Spotify spot the winners?

Analyzing data from its song and album streams, Spotify predicts that Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' The Heist will nab the best-album Grammy Award and Imagine DragonsRadioactive will take the prize for best record.

In both categories, the digital music service correctly picked winners last year.

Here are Spotify's predictions in key races, with nominees ranked from most likely to win to least.

RECORD AND SONG: Lorde in, Bruno 'Locked' out?

NEW ARTIST: Macklemore favored

ALBUM: A three-way race between Macklemore, Daft Punk and Taylor Swift

RECORD OF THE YEAR

The Imagine Dragons hit racked up one-third more streams than runner-up Blurred Lines.

The Heist has 40% more streams than Random Access Memories and more than three times the combined streams of the other three nominees.
