(Tallahassee.com) -- Former Gov. Jeb Bush on Tuesday endorsed Rick Scott for a second term as
governor, saying he "demonstrated leadership when Florida needed it
Bush's endorsement sends the latest signal that
Florida's Republican establishment, which Scott bucked during his
upstart 2010 campaign, is rallying around his re-election.

released by the state Republican Party of Florida. "He campaigned on a
platform of getting Florida's economy back on track, and has delivered
on that promise."
Scott faces a field of Democratic
challengers that includes former Republican Charlie Crist, who succeeded
Bush as governor, and former state Sen. Nan Rich, D-Weston.
Scott, for his part, praised Bush, who backed former state Attorney General Bill McCollum in the 2010 Republican gubernatorial primary.
