Tropical Storm Gabrielle Forecast: Remnants bring heavy rain to Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands

Miami, Florida -- Tropical Depression Gabrielle has dissipated, but still threatens to bring heavy rain to Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to 30 mph and the storm is moving northwest at 9 mph.

Rainfall is expected to produce total rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches over Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands with isolated maximum amounts of up to 8 inches possible in areas of mountainous terrain.
