HOLIDAY, Florida -- Another round of strong storms moved through the Bay area on Wednesday evening, causing damage to two homes at Tanglewood Mobile Village homes in Pasco County.

"Next thing you know, I looked up and I saw my carport flying off," said resident Henry Brandau.

Wild winds ripped the roof from his carport and lanai on Hempshire Drive. The roof was carried a block away and came to rest on the roof of another home on Chatford Drive.

"Why me? Nothing could be any worse. Why me?" he said while recounting what happened at his home around 5 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Furniture and boxes that were stored on the lanai were ruined by rain.

"Mad, angry, and why I haven't got another other place to go. This is ridiculous."

Officials have deemed his home unsafe and turned the power off. They also turned the power off to the home where part of Brandau's roof now sits.

The people who live there are reportedly part-time residents and were not home at the time.

In the same community, there was a similar scene of destruction. The lanai from another home was also ripped off.

"We were sitting right here and the awnings just started dancing," said Fred Brittain, who lives next door to the second home. "The next thing I knew, I looked over there and their roof was gone."

His neighbors are also part-time residents, but are expected to fly into town tomorrow to survey the damage and make necessary repairs.
