Holiday, FL - People who live at The Park at Barrington apartments were not surprised to hear about the collapsed ceiling that forced 36 families out of their homes late Tuesday night.
According to Tim Moore with the Pasco County building inspection, the collapse was caused by a water intrusion.
"Engineers need to remove the loose stucco and provide a report of the damage," said Moore.

According to renters, this isn't the first time something like that has happened and it probably won't be the last.
Ben S. has lived at Barrington apartments for two years and in three different apartment units. "The health department would shut this place down," he said.
Several people who live in the complex also have issues and say property management only offers temporary fixes which makes living there a challenge.
People who live in the evacuated building are staying at a nearby hotel.
According to Barrington, the complex has engineers working on the problem.
