Hot and humid conditions typical of early August will continue on Sunday with steamy sunshine and a heat index around 100 degrees.

Showers and storms will move from west to east and will mainly be east of I-75.

Dorian has been downgraded to a remnant low and is moving toward the northeast near 16 miles per hour.  Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph with higher gusts.  The post-tropical storm is expected to dissipate Sunday. 

Deep southwest flow will continue on Monday with a 50% chance of showers and storms.  

 

Sunday Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Heat index values as high as 101. Light west southwest wind becoming west 5 to 9 mph in the morning.

Monday Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 91. West southwest wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 89. West wind 3 to 7 mph.

Wednesday A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 91. Light and variable wind becoming south around 6 mph in the morning.

Thursday A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92.
