St. Petersburg, Florida -- One year after a St. Petersburg pregnant teen disappeared her mother still holds on to hope.
17-year-old Morgan Martin went missing on July 25, 2012 outside her St. Petersburg home. She was four months pregnant at the time.
Her mother, Leah Martin, told police her daughter said she was going outside to talk with her boyfriend, her unborn child's father.
At the time she was dressed in her pajamas, wearing a white tank top, a pink jacket with fur around the hood, gray pants and pink fuzzy slippers. Her boyfriend drives a white vehicle and a witness told police that a white vehicle was out in front of the Martin home right around the time Morgan was allegedly outside and seen last.
"She has a lot of social friends and it is unusual that someone like her would stop talking to everyone and not even keep in contact with one friend," said St. Petersburg police spokesperson, Mike Puetz.
Missing person detectives have transferred the case over to homicide, even though they don't have any physical evidence it was a murder.
St. Petersburg police detectives have interviewed friends, family and Morgan's boyfriend. No suspects have been named.
