Bradenton, Florida -- Manatee High School assistant football coach Rod Frazier is already facing 10 misdemeanors, including seven charges of battery. But 10 News has learned Frazier could face additional charges if two former students, who earlier told police the 35-year-old inappropriately touched them, decide to cooperate with the State Attorney's Office.

One of students told police Frazier "grabbed her butt" on 20 different occasions at school. She went on to say Frazier has a "groping problem".

The other female said Frazier once "rubbed his hands on her lower back and buttocks".

But both girls did not return calls to the State Attorney's Office for whatever reason. As a result, prosecutors say they cannot file charges based on their testimony without their cooperation.

However, documents obtained by 10 News say if the girls later decide they want to cooperate, additional battery charges could be filed against Frazier.

Meantime, 10 News has learned even if Frazier is cleared in the case he'll likely never return to coaching at Manatee High.

"It doesn't matter what happens, if he's convicted, acquitted or what, it doesn't matter anymore because he's been destroyed," said Ed Mulock, Frazier's attorney.

"I believe they've tainted him so bad that it's going to be hard for him, the coaches and the staff at Manatee to bring him back without somebody saying something."

The Manatee County School District has placed Frazier on paid leave. His arraignment is scheduled for early next month.
